Mehrsprachensensibel?

This volume represents the outcome of a workshop and subsequent lively discussion held at the conference of the Austrian Linguists society in autumn 2018. The workshop focussed on the efficacy of governmental and institutional language policies dealing with multilingualism and migration. In view of the topicality of the issues and their import on language policy decisions the editors decided to publish the present volume as a follow-up to the workshop. It is intended to reflect on the state of affairs and present shortcomings of monolingual policies and practices and contribute to improving the way administrators and educational institutions approach multilingual issues.
